The crown on the regimental badge sure looks to me like Queen Victoria's crown, so that would date it to the Victorian era. My guess would be turn of the century- 1900 era.

I seem to recall that the RGH continued to use the Victorian crown into modern times. A few British units did this out of traditions. The Royal Gloucestershire Hussars were an Armored unit in WW2, nice cap.
