Mom and I have been really enjoying finding military uniform announcements in the old papers, and I thought I would start sharing some of them. If anyone has comments, thoughts or photographs of actual uniforms to match, I would LOVE it!

NEW ARMY UNIFORM

 

The new work-a-day army uniform, says an Aldershot correspondent, is, after all, not to be khaki in colour, but a peculiar green shot with yellow, which has the advantage over khaki of blending perfectly with any description of background. The collars will be of different colours, and the shoulder-straps will bear badges to distinguish the various corps. It has been definitely decided to supersede jack boots by ankle boots and putties. The field cap will be very similar to that worn at present by the Russian Army.
