This is a late experimental assault harness (UTV) that was still in trials when the DDR fell. It was made for small unit special operations and the cloth was made in the Strichtarn (rain pattern) design. The cloth and metal fasteners replaced buckles and snaps and metal parts were painted a non-shiny green color. These outfits were never made in any great numbers and were only issued to small units for testing purposes.
