I am slowly trying to ID material in my collection that I have no ID on so I can rump it to the proper display. Here are two pieces of insignia I have had not luck with as of yet. Any help would be appreciated.

Your piece on the right is a WW2 Italian officer's Arditi qualification patch worn on the left arm between the shoulder and elbow. I forget what FERT written across the sword hilt stood for. The Arditi were an elite shock troop formation during WW1 and they were brought back during WW2 as a kind of special forces unit. The patch is sought after by collectors.

"FERT" comes from the arms of the House of Savoy. It is an acronym which seems to be translated in various ways. There is a Wikipedia page for "FERT" which has some of the translations.
