Thought I'd share my 1942 dated Royal Navy cap. Hard to read, but it was made in Toronto, Canada. I bought it long ago for just a few bucks at a long closed and long missed surplus shop in town. I added the HMS ribbon. There is a cloth strap also, but it has come off. I don't remember where it attaches. It's the same material as the cap, and about a foot or so long. Chin strap maybe?

Nothing too uncommon, I'm sure, but happy to beef up the posts on the new forum with odds and ends from my humble collection. Any comments and shots of your caps are welcome.
