Thought I would share this. Got this in a WWII envelope one time and wondered what this was. It is cardstock, not plain paper. Quality paper, and not really yellowing or brittle at all. Mom (who worked in the printing industry since a child) says this is thermography. :)

 

So . . . am interested in any thoughts as to what the purpose of this piece of paper was! Thanks!
