This is a Grip from the control stick of the Nakajima TYPE4 Ki 84 Hayate single seat fighter aircraft also code named "Frank" by the United States.The plane was considered to be one of the best operational aircraft of the late war.

Is the handle bakelite material?? The material looks similar to an AK-47 bayonet handle that I have...

 

Impressive to see from the Japanese.. Seen quite a few from US and German aircraft but not Japanese..
