Picked this up as Iraqi several years back. Fits Ak mags, but have never been able to positively ID it. I thought it was New Iraqi Army, then thought it may be insurgent. Now I'm thinkging Afghan National Army.

Anyone know for sure? The triangle plastic buttons are interesting, reminds me of the ANA symbol or Republican Guard triangle.

Is there a character inside the triangle on the snaps or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

Its hard to tell but I dont see anything in the snaps. Most of the Iraqi stuff Ive seen is marked with the triangle and symbol inside

There's no markings inside the triangle. If it's Iraqi, I'm guessing New Iraqi Army.

I have not seen anything like that, but my guess is that it is Post Sadaam. Most of that stuff the Iraqis wore during the Sadaam era was soviet style. I know the stuff that I brought back was nothing of this quality. It may even be a Modern Iraqi Commando Rig of some sort.

Thanks for your comment. It has stumped several very knowledgeable Iraqi collectors. Hoping someone on here may be able to provide an answer.
