Good Afternoon,

A recent pick up of mine, this late war Quist M40 (Q64). Quist continued to make good quality, rolled edged M40's late into the war.

I hope you like it : )

Thanks!

James

Hey Guys,

I wanted to share an interesting discovery on this helmet. I found it today by accident while taking pics. I was able to capture a rank and name, but with the naked eye its only visible at a certain angle with the right lighting. One photo with flash, the other without. I get the FLg., but not sure what follows?

Thanks!

James

After additional looks using a loupe, the first part of the name appears to be an M, for what its worth. :)

Thanks,

James

FLg we would say stands for Flieger, the rank for Private in the Luftwaffe. In some of the photos the paint job seems to have a Blue tinge.
