Here is an example of a Nationalist Chinese Army field cap which resembles the German M43 In cut and style with the blue and white enameled Chinese Nationalist sun badge and two stamped brass buttons. These field caps were worn in the 1930’s through World War Two. Here also is a photograph of a Chinese Nationalist officer wearing one of these field caps. He is also wearing a dress dagger.

    Very neat photograph and cap. The pix of him wearing his dagger is just icing on the cake.

    The Chinese ski caps are more related to the Finnish ski caps. The shape of the M43 German types when compared is not even close.
