August 1, 20196 yr #1 I found this at the swap meet, it struck me as a little odd. I have no idea of when, where or why it was taken.
August 1, 20196 yr #2 How odd. The motto translates into "Unity is Strength". If you search the internet you will find it has been used in a number of countries. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unity_makes_strength The flag on the viewer's left appears to be French. I thought it might also be Belgian, but a Belgian flag would have a black field next to the pole.
August 2, 20196 yr Author #3 Ok, so we have a French flag on the left. Luft tee shirts and DD helmets. The two people in the the framed photo's. Musical item's here and there and what look to be theater props? Was there some sort of French holiday around the time of invasion? Why would the older guy on the right be polishing his boot in a staged photo????
August 14, 20196 yr Author #5 Looks to me like a kind of "Budenzauber" (jamboree) picture. I'm not familiar with that. What is that all about?
