August 15, 20196 yr #2 Very nice Bob! I was watching the 1982 TV series a couple of weeks ago, "Inside the Third Reich," and those numbered pins actually came up in one scene.
December 29, 20223 yr #3 I like the front of this badge, which appears to have all the characteristics of an original. The back is of particular interest to me because of the unusual pin plate and the style of the numbering. I think the fixing plate appears this way because the original pin plate became detached at some stage (not unusual on these I hear !) and was replaced with another (smaller) plate which did not have Deschler maker mark stampings on it. I am also interested in the number stamping, which doesn't appear to be the usual impressed style of numbering and is not the 'roller engraved' style either. A very interesting piece ! If you did manage to find out who party member number 753 was, please give us an update. Best Regards Tony A.
