I picked this up in a small shop in Ypres while visiting there recently. Although I dont collect WWI or German items, I just couldnt resist having a relic German helmet with (probable) combat damage that was from an area that was renowned for its brutal battles. I bought the trench art shell at the same shop to make a helmet stand for the helmet.
