Never introduced but scheduled for wartimes during cold war era: Bundeswehr Wehrgerichtsbarkeit (court martial) insignia. Nevertheless, a few prototype rank insignia (left: Brigadegeneral, right: Oberst) and lilac braid were produced in the early 1980's.

During the cold war it was planned that in a possible state of defense court-martials could be established. I don´t know exactly but I suppose in this case these rank insignia would have be worn by military judges or lawyers or by the members of the then established court-martial branch.
