Hi everyone, these two items came in a small lot with two Australian collar badges but I'm totally clueless as to what they are. I don't know if there is any connection to the collar badges. Hopefully some of you can identify both items. All opinions will be appreciated.

And now for the mysterious bit. The item with the pin has two round pieces (one plastic and one fabric) inserted in the cavity at the back.

How very interesting! wish I knew something about Aussie stuff. That three-piece thing is very intriguing!

Has to have some connection to this button, Victorian Permanent Artillery.

 

It is a 1893-1903 button, so perhaps the one with the Kings Crown you have is a later WWI one??

Artillery and Australian Garrison Artillery'. On 1
July 1902, the Permanent Artillery was
designated the 'Royal Australian Artillery
Regiment'. Permanent Force Artillery was
redesignated 'Royal Australian Garrison Artillery’
and ‘Royal Australian Field Artillery' on 25 April
1911.

 

 

Yep, Artillery, they just used this basic design for the Royal Australian Artillery after 1902-1911, adding the Kings Crown. The items you have seem to be Sweetheart items.

My wild guess is some kind of trench art?
