DDR Paratrooper Knife

Gents,

Here is an example of the East German Paratrooper knife that secures to the leg of the camouflage (Strichtarn) Para jump pants.  The black steel knife scabbard is secured to the leg through loops with velcro straps sewn to the leg.  There is also a web frog with a belt loop and a strap and snap to secure the knife to the scabbard.  The knife has a double edged blade with a central fuller and is finished bright with a dull non-reflective coating.  The hilt is made of electric shock resistant resin and is checkered and serial numbered with a disc indicating it is electric shock/static resistant.  There is a grey web wrist strap attached to the hilt.

These DDR Para knives are quite scarce.

I remember I think it was US Cavalry from KY used to sell those in the mid 90s for like 2 or 300 bucks.  Wanted one then and now I wish I did jump at that price seeing the prices doubled if not tripled.
