Early 19th Century & WW1 Beer Steins

Father stationed in West Germany in the mid-1950's, than again in the mid-1960's.  Bought around 50 very old German beer steins, which are now mine.  Some of these stiens appear to be for varied armed forces reserve units.  However, I really love the WW1 steins - particularly the one with the Iron Cross on the top lid.

You have some nice pieces. I love the regimental steins from WWI, and personally think they are under valued. I have 9 in my own collection. With 50, if they ever come on their own, you will be sitting on a gold mine. Thanks for sharing. Kevin

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Would love to own one myself, have seen some in shops, but just don't how to spot original vs. reproduction.

I am of this same opinion. I know that the lithopane in the bottom should not be of a half dressed woman -those are in the reproductions- I believe -also I know the handles of reproductions are different from the originals. I do know a german makerThewalt made a series of reproductions
