April 24, 20206 yr #1 This is still in pretty decent condition, and comes apart. The imperial helmet affixed over the pipe bowl is awesome.
April 24, 20206 yr #3 Excellent reservist pipe of an infantry NCO (Unteroffizier), thanks very much for sharing!
April 24, 20206 yr #4 Lars would this be for 21. Königlich Bayerisches Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment??? Don't see Reserve or Res in the regiment title. We see the Standing Army's 21. Königlich Bayerisches Infanterie Grand Duke Frederick Francis IV of Mecklenburg-Schwerin had it's II Bataillon in Sulzbach, and the 5. Kompanie will be in a regement's II Bataillon. The Reserve mentioned on the Pipe may be for the time spent not on manoeuvres but free to Walk Out, as the imagery does seem to depict a good time in a tavern or Soldatenheim of sorts.
April 24, 20206 yr #5 No, not for a reserve unit. It´s a pipe of an Unteroffizier who retired and was part of the Army Reserve then, a "Reservist". Unfortunately I can only read parts of the text on the pictures.
