Click the envelope button at the top right of your screen (near your user avatar):

A pop-down menu appears, showing you the top few messages in your inbox. At the bottom of that menu, click the "Go to Inbox" hyperlink:

Now you are in your inbox, and your messages are shown along the left. 1.) Pick a message to delete, and click the check box right below the avatar of the last person to have replied to that PM. This brings a little menu bar along the bottom center. 2.) Click the trash can icon button:

When you hit the trash can button, this brings up a confirmation window, giving you the option to delete the selected message(s) or cancel the action:
