One more shot of  Police Troops in Italy wearing the type, some of them may be wearing helmet covers of it too.

We see three men with the Camo pants, one with  jacket made of it as well, one of the men curiously you'll note wears a Luftwaffe Fliegerbluse, but he's Army for sure as he's wearing the Army cap, and has a Panzer Assault Badge in Bronze. Unit is the 26th Panzer Division, and I belive these are Vehicle Commanders gathering for a photo , Officers and one Sergeant, the one with the Camo Jacket there, unit with  the erbeute Semovente da 75/18 in 1944. probably of the division's 93th Panzerjäger Battalion.

The one man with a Silver/White Metal badge on the side of his cap, a Schirmmütze alter Art, maybe will be this for the 26th Panzer Division.

Another sighting, a  Officer of an unidentified unit captured by the French spring 1944, its kinda cut like an M36 tunic, but with what looks like a cinched  in waist with a draw string.

An interesting find, would think this is in Italy, several troops who are resting are wearing both caps and smock like affairs made of the Italian Camo. The ones with the Camo are all wearing Leather Leggings and Ankle Boots and appear to be wearing Breeches, that means they are Wagon Drivers of the Horse Drawn Type, possibly Nachschubtruppen in one of the Infantry Divisions, or as Korpstruppen.

A Luftwaffe Soldier in Italy wearing the Italian, either of the HG or a Flak unit.

An interesting one, here a member of the 7th Panzer Division Kursk July 1943, seems like one made of the Italian Camo Cloth, if so then cloth may have been aquired in Russia from Italian Stores, 7th Panzer Division was initially in Army Group South where the Italians were. Note too the Custom made pants with thigh pockets, Reed Green, Field Grey?.

The Unteroffizier with the M42 Tunic with the added Bottle Green Collar is wearing a pair of pants made from the Italian, note too he's wearing the Pre War Shoulder Straps, Pointed with no Waffenfarbe these type were.

A So Called WAFFEN SS ITALIAN CAMO M1943 " CHARKOW" WINTER UNIFORM PARKA, though we doubt any of these Anoraks were made in early 1943 of the Italian Camo material, and doubtful these Italian Camo ones were even worn outside of Italy by SS or even Army troops, that's not counting any men who had them and brought them with them when their division was transferred out of Italy, like in example the 16th SS Panzer Grenadier Division, transferred to the Eastern Front in February 1945.

I often wondered why did so many officers in the 12th SS chose to wear Italian instead of German SS camouflage. I would think the SS camo to be more effective.

An unidentified   SS Obersturmbannführer wearing the Italian camo , see the Special Sleeve Rank,. Uncertain if this is in Italy with a member of the 16th SS Panzer Grenadier Division or in Normandy with a member of one of the units of the I SS Panzer Corps.

 

 

A Police Crew of a confiscated Italian  Italian Autoblinda 41, called the Panzerspähwagen AB41 201(i) in German service both wear the Italian in 1944 in Northern Italy.

Cut just about like a M35 M40 Tunic, an Officer Candidate, Fahnenjunker-Unteroffizier the strap appears to be the Bottle Green type, but note the Tresse for the Fahnenjunker, it is the Tropical Rust color type, something we should think found in some amount in stores in Italy after 1943. Waffenfarbe, one of the various shades of Light Green associated with Panzer Grenadiers, and in Italy there were a lot of Panzer Grenadier Regiments.

 

A Paratrooper again in Italy, 1st or 4th Parachute Division, the Cover. and probably the jacket in Italian Camouflage, the sunshine glare making the jacket seem a solid color.

A Custom made jacket, made in the Pattern of that Windproof  Mountain Troops Jacket. Waffen SS worn, probably by a Officer of the 7th SS Mountain Division Prinz Eugen in Yugoslavia

 

Two Hermann Goering Soldiers, in Itay, one with an custom made Italian Camouflage jacket. Curious shoulder strap on that Unteroffizer with the Tank Destruction Badge as he has a single Tresse strip, which is supposed to mean an NCO Candidate, but as we see he already is a Sergeant! Also has some kind of Cypher on it, embroidered by the looks of it, but can not really tell which it is.

A Soldier of the 715th Infantry Division with a facial wound who's wearing a Camouflaged Sahariana Jacket of Italian make, Anzio.

A Paratrooper, 1st Parachute Italy, Italy, Tropical Pants with the Italian Camo Jacket, waist length like the English BD, of note is he's got either  Gold or Silver Wound Badge. 

Saw this photo and screen shot it. Luft troops (Herman Goering / Fallschirmjägers?), are they wearing Italian camo? and are the bed rolls the same patter? Pardons on the small picture.

Yes the Zeltbahn is Italian, no doubt just the standard Italian Army Issue, the jacketthe one is wearing, now that is costume made, even looks like this one is wearing an Gas Cape Bag in camo  too.

 

These troops on the other hand are not from the HG Pz Div, as they wore White Collar Patches, that's when they wore them in the field, as at some point in Italy there wear was verboten, with those dark collar patches are probably from one of the Luftwaffe Field Divisions that was in Italy, the 19th or the 20th FDs, which would make them a Green color.

 

The reason I say they're from one of the FDs, and not Flak, is because Flak units both Luftwaffe and Army, were completely motorized and or mechanized, and really would not be humping their stuff like this, that stuff would just be stowed in their vehicle, there's the chance their vehicle was down or knocked out, and they have to walk now, but for now.....FD.
