September 22, 20205 yr #1 Gents, Here is an interesting set of East German School Crossing Guard outfits. I recall that my police career seemingly started off with a white plastic cross belt and a tin badge along with a hand held stop sign at my elementary school. So, potential East German Policemen likely wore these outfits as well. This is a boxed set of a boy and a girl Traffic Police uniforms consisting of white caps, vests, etc. for the fledgling Traffic Policeman standing in the cross walks. I have never seen another set but surely they were in every elementary school in the DDR. School Crossing Guards taught every kiddie community responsibility and order.
September 22, 20205 yr #2 I did a quick online research and found out that this set was used for traffic education and as a toy. Very nice set in excellent condition!
September 22, 20205 yr #3 I think it is funny... from the drawing, the boy gets the whistle while the girl does not! So much for gender equality in the Worker's Paradise!
