October 12, 20205 yr #1 Hello everyone, My question is is this rucksack made out of real ww2 splitter tarn? I've established so far that during the war there weren't any rucksacks made out of splitter tarn so at best this is a post war construction. Apart from the fairly similar one shown on the warrelics forum (see link) I haven't been able to find much more about it. December 6, 20205 yr #3 I purchased several of these in Vienna in 1990? from a militaria shop. They were $15 each and was told they were made after the war out of army tent material. The shoulder straps on the bags I purchased were made of the double cloth edges of the zeltbahn. They also had a small pouch of the same camo material applied to the front with a zelt button closure. Assuming made for kids school bags? The bag in the link appears wartime military (in my opinion)
