October 29, 20205 yr #1 Here are some tabs and insignias... some I hope are good and others that I’m pretty sure are either current or repro. There’s also a couple of “Rampant Lion” insignias that may not be Commonwealth. Here’s the first batch... I’ll post some more. Thanks for looking.
October 29, 20205 yr Author #2 Here are a few more... The Canadian sub badges look current (Queen’s Crown). I did a little research on the “desert rat” patch (Red Jeroboa) and think it may be a second pattern 1941-43?? I am not familiar with British patches... is this a fairly common one or hard to find? The other tabs are a mix... I don’t know which troops would have worn them etc. Thanks again!
October 29, 20205 yr #3 The No 6 Commando titles are good, Royal Marine title is good (ie. Post WWII), Royal Marines title looks like reproduction. Combined Ops insignia & RN Commando title are all reproductions, Bullion Combined Ops may be ok (would need to examine in hand), Combined Ops Sweetheart looks OK. Questionable QC Bullion Glider Pilot Brevet, Rhodesian Army badge is good. CDub
October 29, 20205 yr #4 NZ & RAF cap badges look good, Desert Rats sign is good Australian Nationality title (would like to see better images of front & back), Norway Nationality title looks like reproduction, Belgium Nationality title is good (ie. early Post WWII), Army Cadet Force title is good. CDub
October 29, 20205 yr Author #5 CDub, here’s a close up of Australia title. the letter stitching is very similar to the No. 6. commando lettering
October 29, 20205 yr #7 Australian Nationality title looks OK to me (ie appears to have been made in the Far East Theatre). Royal Marines title, is no dice IMO. Embroidery is to thick which is classic reproduction. Take a look at my website, there is a British Special Forces section I posted as a reference to help other collectors. All insignia are or were part of my personal collection. CDub
October 29, 20205 yr Author #8 Thanks, CDub... I’ll take a look. I’ll also see if I can get better close ups of bullion Combined Operations piece
