Hello there, 

 

I recently acquired an m1 helmet that made it’s way into Spanish military service at some point in its lifetime. The shell features a couple of numbers that I was curious if anyone knew the meaning or purpose of. There is the number PZ-052 or P2-052 written in black marker in the crown of the shell, the number L2-3030 written in red marker on the brim  and a number painted in black using a stencil just above the brim (where you would usually find the heat stamp in a us m1) which I believe is 2-IMI85 but this part is fairly rusted over. Any help is greatly appreciated
