Picked these up from veteran’s estate and wanted thoughts if period.  If not, any tell-tale signs would be helpful.  Also, what would the patch have been worn on in terms of uniform?

Both pieces look highly suspect to me, the SS piece looks like it’s for a sports shirt but the only ones I’ve seen as Bevo woven

The early SS sport shirts did have a reverse color look like that, but IMO that is not a real example. The pilot badge is also very crudely done.

The Luftwaffe pilot's badge looks like a postwar Souval production, likely manufactured in zinc.
