What do you guys think about the authenticity of this helmet? Has chicken wire also.

Not very knowledgeable on German helmets, but I’m not liking it at all.  Particularly around the tricolor.

yea I am not feeling this one either.  I don't like the decals or the wire, or that white funk all over everything.

No good. Looks scrubbed down (you can see on the decals) which would make the wire fake. A pass on this one friend.

I would also question the liner as the band looks like it was possibly replaced. Maybe check the split-pins to see if they've been tampered with. 

Is that supposed to be dust around the wire ?? or white paint ??? I don't like it.

I see the Blue paint on the inner band.  If this was refurbished by the Wehrmacht, then I would think they would have removed the liner.  

 

I can't tell if the Eagle is too far forward & maybe too large. It could be the angle of the photo.  And I don't have one to really compare it to but wanted to add my comments.

Luftwaffe DD helmets are M35 and this is an M40. Just one more nail in the coffin.
