October 26, 20214 yr #1 Was very pleased to finally be able to add an Argentinian three panel medic helm to my collection some time ago as part of a helmet trade with a friend and fellow collector in Argentina they are very tough to source and one I have been trying to add to my collection for some time now... The helmet body was produced by ( FM ) Direccion General De Fabricaciones Militares . Argentina started production on the M-1 in the early 1960's the helmets total weight is approx 1.250 grs, ( Shell 900 grs, and liner 350 grs, The liner is as well Argentinian in origins and is to be considered a third pattern and is manufactured from fiberglass with locally produced webbing and IMO refitted with a new chinstrap at some time in its service career.. It is my understanding that medic units in the Argentinian Army and or Marines much of the time were issued with for the lack of a better term second rate and or equipment of a lower quality than soldiers serving in a regular capacity.... October 28, 20214 yr #4 Really great helmet! FM helmets seem to be pretty hard to get in North America and command some pretty decent prices when available. I have a couple but certainly no medic like yours, great score! Scott
October 29, 20214 yr Author #5 I am fortunate to have some good contacts in Argentina Scott and have five Argentinian M-1's all dating from the Conflict and or earlier this includes a M-2 Airborne example that I will post in the near future ... Regards Mark

Regards Mark I will look forward to seeing them Mark. I have one good contact there and one that is o.k. but mostly motivated by money...
