Bought this at a recent house call.  The best part about this dagger, is that my father used to own it & had sold it years ago.  
 

I knew this by the tag on it & the “Vet personalized” 1945 inscription.

Nice.  My brother had a Luftwaffe dagger but one of the parts of the handle was Army or something.  

 

During college, I rented a tiny house for the summer.  One day I went to the elderly landlady to pay my rent, and I saw one like this hanging on her wall.  I really wanted to make an offer for it but---Hey--- I was a broke college kid.
