A lot of motorcycles right, thinking now this is the new reconnaissance battalion, in the fall of 1942 wherever this new unit was at then, France, Berlin, Holland.

    Notice how the driver has his gas mask slung around to his chest.  This keeps it from banging into the soldier sitting behind him.  Just an observation.

    A new man in the unit?, a Private, no awards except that Hitler Youth one, then why the NCO Candidate cord on shoulder straps?, the Anti Tank Battalion, the  private is wearing a Field Grey Panzer uniform , with White Piping on the Collar.
