Thanks to a fellow Forum member on out sister USMF forum, I was able to identify this Mills Bomb.  This was recently given to me by a friend. It belonged to his Father and when the father passed away my friend's wife asked him to get rid of it, because she did not want any "war stuff" in the house.  So I was the beneficiary of her concern. Thanks for looking.
