WW1 Binoculars? Please Help

Featured Replies

Hi

i picked these up today.
I believe they are WW1 binoculars.  I posted on USMF also as they may have been used by US troops.
They were made in France.
the cool part is that I have a metal engraved on one of the eyepiece parts.
Any info would be appreciated.
I realize I am missing a part so any info on where I could find a replacement  part would be helpful also.

I have never seen these french binos with the medal engraved on them before, interesting, it appears to be a croix de guerre

these Galilean type binos were commonly issued to allied troops during the war, I have  a few pairs, they are usually relatively cheap unless named or otherwise unusual.

Thank you for the reply.  I thought the engraving was unusual.  Any other info would be appreciated.
