Here is an interesting neck order from Italy. The pendant is a Maltese cross enameled in light blue. The white center has a red cross with the words "Servizio Ospedaliero Della S.S. Immacolata" circling the center. The reverse side show a royal monogram with an Italian crown and what I believe to be the letters "STS." The cross is suspended by a rather robust gold loop ring which hangs off of a black ribbon with aa red center stripe. There are two thin black ribbons by which to tie the order around the neck when worn.

 

I would really appreciate any additional information that I can get about this award.
