British built the Adrias served with the British Royal Navy when she struck a German mine that blew her Bow off in the Aegean in January 1944, but she made it back all way to Egypt.

HMS Kelly the Destroyer, it wasn't the first time it was in action when it was sunk off Crete. Here it is barely afloat but still floating as she was hit by a torpedo off the coast of Norway May 1940, she was towed in this condition all the way back to England,  Louis Mountbatten was her Skipper then and when she was repaired big time and went to sea again, Mediterranean, this time luck would run out for Kelly. Kelly was used as a model for the destroyer HMS Torrin in the Classic War Time movie of 1942 In Which We Serve.
