i had this for a long time i purchase this from a floor picker from a military  event in ohio i seen ones just like this for sale as the real thing m4 /24 and m4 /27 the rzm code does'nt look correct missing the vertical line on the z could this be a post war made buckle? any thought please. thanks

Many people assume these are fake because of the light alloy metal used as well.

some years ago they explain on nazi insignia hallmarks if the RZM code didn't have the vertical line in the middle of the Z you could have a repro or a fake item

The RZM logo went through a few variations in the early 30’s. I’m no expert on buckles but on party badges the logo from transitional period pieces could vary from raised to recessed/stamped in and with a single or double circle. So it wouldn’t surprise me at all if the slash through the Z varies from manufacturer and period
