'Attempting' To Document Italian Recipient of British Crimean Campaign Medal ?

Hello Folks,  I've been attempting to research, & subsequently document the Italian ( Sardinian ? ) Recipient of an British 1854 'Crimean Campaign Medal', which is correctly period engraved to the following individual; 

Thus Medal was presented to an member of the Sardinian Expeditionary Corps, who was; 

MARTINO PASTORE, SERGENTE, DEL 2 GRANATIERI DI SARDEGNA" , Which translates as;  'MARTINO PASTORE, SERGEANT Of The 2nd REGIMENT Of GRENADIERS".

     Crimean era Medals are not my primary collecting interest, yet when offered this particular example, I simply could not pass it up, due of course to 'possible' ( yet not probable ? ) Family connection. Unfortunately, I have several issues preventing me from delving fully into it, first & foremost being my inability to speak & read Italian !! These facts prevent me from digging deep into the available Italian records, & I will admit that its starting to become extremely frustrating !! ( However, on the bright side, I have made a 'possible' match to the recipient, & although not probable, almost all of his available data does indeed match the Medal's recipient ? He was of the same names, & was born in Martina - Franca, Taranto, Puglia in 1827, & Died in Grottaglie, Taranto, Puglia in 1893, which places him at the correct age bracket. Of course, MUCH more needs to be done ! ) My Family appears to have originated from Manfredonia, just 2 hours north by automobile, which does at least sound plausible ? Sooooo, if any of our Italian speakers here would PLEASE be so kind as to assist me in documenting this Medal's recipient, I would be MOST DEEPLY APPRECIATIVE !! I've basically pushed as far ahead as I can, due of course to my lack of my understanding Italian, & I fear at this point I'll be in need of some kind assistance from one of my paisano ! THANK YOU,
