This Order was originally awarded under a Decree of August 24, 1900. in three classes:

1st class (gold)

2nd class (silver)

3rd class in the form of three medals of the Order

 

In a Royal Decree of May 1, 1903, Type 1 of the Order was expanded to the following classes:

Grand Cross

Grand Officer

Commander,

Officer

Knight

plus three medals of the Order (gold, silver and bronze).

 

All awards utilized the same blue ribbon with black center stripe.
