July 11, 20224 yr #1 Found this zippo lighter and I just wanted to learn more about this and if it really is real or just some kind of repro. I have seen some people say that Germans never used zippos and some say that German zippos from ww2 are real. Any information would be good. Thanks.
July 11, 20224 yr #2 I’ve never seen anything like it and I’m not a fan. The markings look fake as well.
July 11, 20224 yr #3 It is an army pattern eagle with RZM (party) markings- that is enough to call it a fake. the waffen amt eagle proof is also something that has no business being there. complete fakery. 1000% BS. (and I doubt even a real zippo...)

July 23, 20224 yr #6 I am sure if a German soldier liberated a ZIPPO from an American soldier he would use it. I have attached pictures of what pre-war and wartime ZIPPO bottom markings looked like. The war time lighters were usually covered in a black crackle finish. The bottoms were rounded, not flat or indented like todays lighters. (unless it is a special edition made to look like the WW 2 lighters)
