BRIXMIS Patch thoughts

Hello all,

looking for some thoughts on this British military mission patch. From the couple verified examples I have seen, this one differs by not having as much white on the reverse. The material does remind me other British insignia. Furthermore, I am aware that the various military missions on the allied side were around for most of if not all the cold war so this could have been made anytime between post WW2( circa 1946) and 1991.

If anyone could enlighten me on what to look for with these I would appreciate the help.

Frank

Your patch looks exactly like the one I once got as an original from a British veteran who had served in Berlin. Referring to the details I marked I´d say they where made with the same machine. I think color variation of back threads are common and not a giveaway. BTW my patch measures 5,5 x 5,5 cm.

Thank you for the photos and info, on the other ones I saw I did notice the match to the letter stitching and border stitching. Glad that could be confirmed.
