September 5, 20223 yr #1 Picked this up a couple years ago...had a military feel to it, but also kind of seems similar to the coat of arms of Åland in Finland. Of course, it wouldn't be the first time a European unit used a coat of arms in their unit symbol. Any ideas?
September 5, 20223 yr #2 Of course I could be wrong but it does not look like any other Finish military insignia I have seen before so my guess would be a civilian brooch, indeed with the coat of arms of Aland. BTW referring to the silver hallmark (913H) your insignia was made in Turku, Finland.
September 5, 20223 yr #3 The closet coat of arms that isn't exact but similar is the Samara Province of Russia.
September 5, 20223 yr Author #4 Apparently it is the coat of arms of Åland. Matts Simon was a firm in the region and the marks date this to the 1930s
