September 12, 20223 yr Solution #2 looks good from here. In hand I like to see the "seam" and be able to see "under" the frame, to be sure it is 3 piece construction.
April 28, 20233 yr #3 Really good looking 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class. I think it's genuine. Indicators... the black paint looks good. That paint contains lead, and it gets a "sheen" or "patina" when it's been exposed to air for extended periods. The tarnish on the outside frame makes it look like a mid-to-late war piece. If you can, check the suspension ring for a hallmark. The absence of a hallmark on the suspension ring doesn't mean it's fake. Also... the litmus test... the center should be magnetic. Iron Crosses are made from iron.
