The Pegasus formation sign on your BD is undoubtedly post WWII. Most WWII pieces would be printed. Those that were embroidered would more commonly not have a backing material, but would have a white paste-like sizing applied to the back side of the patch.

 

I believe that the austerity pattern BDs were replaced shortly post-war, so I believe this was either made as a representative of what a WWII airborne BD would look like, or it was worn by a reenactor.

These embroidered Peggies could date anywhere from the 1950's to well into the 1980's. The British used the same manufacturing processes forever.
