This is in a local auction. Interesting they turned a DAK pith helmet into a lamp. Is it a real pith / period pith helmet?

First the sweatband is missing and whats up with the Soviet pins? The crown vent is ruined. I would let it alone

Someone actually created this.  Yes, it is horrible. I agree. BUT ... the question was.. IS IT A REAL DAK pith?

 

Why do people do anything?!?

I dont think its German. The liner and the old suspension parts do not like correct. My opinion only
