My Mom received this pendant from her uncle, who served in the Army in the Pacific theater during WW II:

It’s supposedly made from Plexiglass from an aircraft canopy, and the medallion appears to be an Australian one shilling coin. He was in New Guinea and the Philippines in 1944, so it makes sense.

 

Anyway, I just thought it was a neat piece of history!
