December 7, 20223 yr #1 Hello- I’m a new member to this forum and wanted to get some opinions on this book I recently obtained. I purchased a lot of books from the estate of an American WWII bomber pilot and in among the historical books were two copies of this Hitler book. I don’t speak German but it appears this is a propaganda book from 1936. I’m wondering if others have seen these and/or could you give me some info on them? Are they rare? Were they purely propaganda pieces? It looks like the pictures were pasted into the books. I can add more photos if necessary. Thanks!
December 7, 20223 yr #2 Welcome to the WMF! Pasted pictures? Sounds like one of the countless scrapbooks available back then. The pictures were sold with cigaretts, so these books were called cigarett albums as well. They were widely collected and usually are not very rare. But I´m not an expert. Please search the net for "Zigarettenalbum" or " 1930 Sammelalbum" and you´ll get several hits.
