I have been ramping up my French Air Force collecting and there is a storied and deeply committed and interesting past regarding the French Air Force and their advance in the knowledge of aerodynamics and flight set to the task of national defense in the early days of fixed wing flight at the dawn of the 20th century. Does anyone have a survey all the books issued regarding collecting French insignia centered in the Air Force pilots and aircrew? I'm looking for all ratings from lighter than air to balloon to fixed wing from the dawn of aviation in the military leading up to 1945.
