T'ai Federation Order of Civil Merit medal

Hi all

is anyone out there an expert on medals of Indochina? I know this is a T'ai Federation Order of Civil Merit Knight (4th) class which was awarded 1950-54. I have had this in my collection for 26 years but don't know if it is a genuine medal, re-issue or reproduction. I know that they were made in both Indochina and France, probably by multiple manufacturers in each territory so the appearance can be variable. I have seen 'genuine' medals with either smooth or patterned gold between the crosses of Lorraine and I have seen variable quality in the writing of 'Federation Tai'. Any thoughts from any of you?
