I have attached pictures of what appears to me to be a pre war or WWII Soviet flight school badge. I’m not knowledgeable enough to know if it’s authentic or that I’m correct about the time period. From what I can see it looks like it could be authentic. Any assessments would be helpful. 
 

In my opinion it looks genuine based on the wear pattern and patina as well as the style of number font incised on the back.  It looks like there was a loss of red enameling within the star but overall a nice piece.  I don't know exactly what this is but probably an early Soviet flight school type graduation badge.  

It looked to me like an authentic Soviet flight school badge from the pre to early war period but I know that they have been copied so I tended to be skeptical. Thanks for your assessment. Maybe I should have been okay when it passed the eye test but I’ve been wrong before so I tend to lean towards being cautious. Never hurts to get a second opinion! Thanks again!
