This must be sometime in 1943, he's wearing the Army's Jacket, as well as the Army's Cap, the Army Eagle is still sewn on see, and he has appied a SS Scull on it, maybe removing the sewn on Cockade beforehand

There are a number of possibilities as to the identity of this man. By process of elimination I believe it is either Heinrich Warnick, Panzerkommandant  SS-Pz.Rgt 2 or Franz Staudegger Panzerkommandant SS-Pz-Rgt 1. Going on other images of Staudegger I think the soldier is Warnick but that is an opinion. and could be wrong. .

Thanks for the info. Heinrich Warnick, as he is in Das Reich, the other one, Staudegger, was in the Leibstandarte SS AH.
