April 18Apr 18 #31 That is an MP28, as developed from the late WWI MP18. Designed by Schmeisser, it was/is a bit of a thug of a gun, topping out at over 5kg when loaded. Well engineered, the troops liked it, as did the Allies when examples were captured. Best Mike

Best Mike Thank you, I was looking at the M35, didn't look like it, in example the M35 has slots rather then holes on barrel jacket. On this MP28 seems the bayonet lug has to re placed on it and it can be fixed either on the side or under muzzle correct?

5 hours ago5 hr Author #39 An M18 or M16 on a Polish Fighter during the Warsaw Uprising, this helmet which seems to have a Polish Flag or Pennant painted on it, could either be one captured from the Germans or old Polish Army stores they got their hands on, as the Army used the type in 20s-30s.
