I would be reluctant to judge whether this SA Flag is genuine or not purely by online viewing but it does appear to have been sold by 'Ulrich of England Fine Militaria' perviously and the advert records the artefacts provenance. I'm sure you are aware of this but your images originate from this dealers webpage. http://www.ulricofengland.com/prodshow/SA_Flag____Horst_Wessel_4___Berlin___Interesting_Provenance_/g008335.html One question I'd ask myself was whether, given the fact this is purporting to be a rare item, and if it is the same flag as sold by Ulrich which should have a label reading ''A.S.Collection' and Lot 28' in addition to the RZM sticker, is it likely to be counterfeit and fooled a collector and dealer beforehand? If you are concerned maybe an email to Ulrich asking to who, or when, they sold it on might assist. The dealer probably won't furnish you with any details but if you have the name of the current seller then he might confirm they were the previous buyer.... Kind regards Gunner...
July 10, 20233 yr Author #3 Thank you very much, on his website it shows he has sold many of those similar flags which lead me to a thought that he might be a true seller. And the question is S.A. flags are rare to buy these days because I've gone to many websites but I can't find the exact flag I was looking for any thoughts on where to look? Thank you so much. And one more thing this is from Gun broker he has a ww2 German flag posted for sale. It looks brand new I was wondering if is it possible for a flag to be in such good condition without the colors being dull or faded? And people also say the grommets can also help with its authentication.
July 10, 20233 yr #4 Most German flags do not have grommets. (other than the Panzer ID ones and some larger banners) What kind of flags are you looking for? Do not let the brightness of colors deter you in making the determination of real vs. reproduction, many original flags still hold on to their bright colors. get to know the materials, the construction details, try and find some local shows and handle some real examples.
July 11, 20233 yr Author #5 Yeah, Im looking for a Third Riech State service flag, a. Kriegsmarine flag, Daf Flag at least one S.A flag, and a few podium banner flags with fringe as the outline. I've always wanted to have those flags in my collection because I value them so much, I would take every step to ensure the flags are preserved for a long time and they sell out fast.
